🌍 Getting to the wedding destination: Marabá, Brazil. (Google Maps link)
The nearest major airports to Marbá (MAB) are Belém (BEL) and Brasília (BSB). These are the best option for international travelers flying in from Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Orlando, USA.
✈️ Recommended Flights
We recommend looking at flights with:
American Airlines, Delta, United – Direct or connecting flights from major U.S. cities.
LATAM, Azul, GOL – Brazilian airlines that offer connecting flights within Brazil.

ℹ️ The flight path we are taking is:
Seattle to Miami, Miami to Brasília, and Brasília to Marabá
We arrive in Marabá on the 10th at 1:20am local time, and return to Miami on the 15th at 8:30pm local time.
🛂 Travel Documents & Entry Requirements
Starting April 10, 2025, U.S. and Canadian citizens may need an e-visa to enter Brazil — we will keep you posted on that!
Your passport must be valid for at least six months from your travel date.
Brazil does not require any vaccines for entry.
💰 Currency & Payments
The local currency is Brazilian Real (BRL - R$). USD-BRL conversion
Credit cards are widely accepted.
If you somehow end up needing cash, Tânia can use her Brazilian bank account to transfer money for a cheaper rate than local ATMs.
📞 Staying Connected
Brazil has affordable eSIM and SIM card options with Claro and Vivo (both around $5 for calling and internet data thoughout the trip).
If you want local data coverage, Tânia can help set it up for you when you arrive.
Free Wi-Fi is available at most hotels and restaurants.
🏨 Accommodations
We recommend staying at Hotel Augusto Palace, where we’ve arranged a group discount for guests.
The hotel is conveniently located near the airport and the wedding venue.

👗 Attire Rental
Travel light! We’ve partnered with a local dress and suit rental service offering a special discount for our guests.
Rental prices range from USD $65 to USD $85 for party dresses and USD $20 to USD $50 for suits.
You can browse options on their Instagram and text Tânia at (360) 770-6599 so she can coordinate the reservation in advance for a hassle-free experience.
